This is derived from the fermentation of wheat and wood and was developed to obtain both immediate and long-lasting hydration at the same time. It optimizes the skin’s natural stores of moisture by developing a synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs, substances such as chondroitin sulfate which help retain moisture in the skin naturally). It reduces water loss by way of physiological evaporation while increasing the synthesis of barrier ceramides in order to achieve enhanced performance.
