Together with chamazulene, it is the substance primarily responsible for the properties of chamomile, particularly in its soothing, anti-redness benefits. It is highly tolerable by the skin and is effective emollient in products for children, in aftershaves, in after-sun lotions, in products for skin inflammations, rash, atopic dermatitis and seborrhea, and for skin irritations generally. It is also used in products that act on skin-pigmentation disorders.
